We currently have an opportunity for a Full-time Assistant Fitness Manager to join our team in Rockville MD!

Some of the responsibilities include participating in, supervising, and ensuring optimal fitness and Sport & Recreation program and operation. In addition, assuring customer satisfaction and quality assurance guidelines are met.

Requirements

Strong verbal communication and verbal presentation skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Independent and interdependent project management skills.
Ability to delegate to and follow up with direct reports.
Creative programming abilities.
Multiple project management.
Experience in, and ability to perform fitness assessments including: -Resting and exercise blood pressure and heart rate -Body composition -Muscular strength and endurance testing -Submaximal cycle testing
Thorough understanding of exercise physiology.
Demonstrated ability to provide personal behavior change counseling.
Demonstrated ability to design and track client exercise prescriptions.
Experience in health enhancement programming.
Demonstrated ability to instruct group exercise classes.
Minimum of 5 years in the health/fitness industry.
Minimum of 2 year experience in a program manager or assistant program manager’s capacity.
Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification.
Previous experience instructing group exercise classes (ACE or AFAA certification preferred).
Previous course work and/or workshop experience with ACSM standards (ACSM / NSCA certification preferred). Apply Now Apply Now
